Mizpah Ladies' Fellowship
Our Ladies Fellowship has reduced considerably over the past few years and now meets only twice each month on a Wednesday when we share lunch together at the church.
It would be much easier for us not to come out every other week as most of us are older ladies and, although we have discussed this option, we would miss the friendship and fellowship we share together.
The average age of those who attend regularly is 84 and we have three or four over 90 whose spiritual experience we value greatly and we keep in touch with those ladies who are no longer able to be part of our Wednesday lunch times.
During lunch we make a donation. This enables us, once a year, to donate what we raise to various charities. In 2016 we gave money to the Alzheimer's Society, Blind Dogs Association and Cancer Research - all of which are close to our hearts because we have friends and members who benefit from these organisations.
